Advertising uses stereotypes by its very nature. However, idealised and stereotyped representations of reality disrupt the present society and how people imagine, increasing distress and increasing mental health diseases.

Just archetypes is an experimental project that aims to probe discussion on the correlation between female stereotypes in advertising and Hofstede’s archetypal canons of masculinity and femininity: are women represented differently in different countries? And for what reasons?
